Biography of Mike Frey from LPIN
[2014 Bio] A native Hoosier raised just south of Indianapolis, Mike graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington with a BS in Management and Marketing. After graduation, Mike spent 40 years working in the private sector, the last 30 years with the Kimberly Clark Corporation.
While at Kimberly Clark, Mike served in several positions in the Sales, Marketing and Training Departments. He had assignments in Dallas, Houston, Neenah, Wisconsin (Corporate headquarters), Chicago, Cleveland and a brief stint in London. He had responsibility for an organization of 160+ employees producing $360+ million in revenue with P/L responsibility.
After his retirement, Mike returned to his Indiana home south of Indianapolis in Greenwood, Indiana (Johnson County). Here he first became interested in public policy after attending a Barry Goldwater rally while in the 8th grade in 1964.
Mike’s campaign will center on regaining some of our Economic and Personal Freedom from an ever growing Federal Government. It is Mike’s belief that both major parties have become big government parties and offer little hope in reducing the size of the Federal Government.
Mike and his wife of 35 years, Lou, have one daughter and three grandchildren.
