Justin James Kuhnle

Justin Kuhnle Congressional Candidate Indiana District 3

Biography of Justin Kuhnle from Kuhnle for Congress

With a favorability rating hovering between 10-15%, depending on which survey you read, it is easy to see how a vast majority of Americans view the current Congress as “incompetent”, “elitist”, “disconnected”, or “regressive.” Most will point to either side for the failings of Congress, however most citizens would agree that both parties share responsibility. Citizens need and deserve elected officials that will serve the interest of the people and put families and our citizens first.

My name is Justin Kuhnle and I promise to be that type of candidate and elected leader who puts our citizens’ needs first. I was born and raised in Decatur, Indiana graduating from Bellmont High School. After graduating, I attended Purdue University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision with emphasis on Small Business Management and Human Resources. I began a career as a sort lead with Kitty Hawk coordinating teams nightly on routing cargo to cities. This was followed by management in home improvement before returning to school for Psychology and Human Services from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne and Ivy Tech of Fort Wayne simultaneously. Since then, I have been working in the social services field as a social/case worker with Park Center in Fort Wayne with adults and children and with Bowen Center in Albion working in the schools with served children and now as a case manager with IPMG working with our developmentally disabled individuals in our community.

Through these career choices, the number one priority has always been on serving individuals and families around me. I believe that family should come first and that through working together, families can come first. I believe to make a family strong, there should be a strong bond between all members of that family and the communities that extend from home to school. I believe that schools need more resources to be successful, that teachers need more support, and there needs to be an individual emphasis on learning material rather than the current education system which currents focus is on testing. I believe that jobs should be more readily available through simplifying requirements of corporations and making skills training available for workers to strengthen their current training and skills for career advancement. I believe that people shouldn’t have to choose between being seen by a medical professional or a hospital for their healthcare or going bankrupt. I believe that people that have worked all through their lives should be afforded the opportunity to live a retirement that sustains all those years of labor they put in.

I am an advocate for the people. I will continue to fight for those that I serve with each passing day. Whether it is for simplifying the tax burden that individuals’ face, daily advocating for students and the teachers that serve them, strengthening the rights that women and minorities have, or protecting both the elderly in their retirement, the mentally ill in their daily struggles, or those without voices that have yet to be born. A primary focus on my campaign is centered around strengthening our resolve for education and creating an atmosphere that promotes expansion in small business.
