Andrew Tobias McNeil

Andrew McNeil Congressional Candidate Indiana District 8

Biography of Andrew McNeil from Andrew McNeil for Congress Committee

Andrew McNeil was born in Anderson, Indiana in 1973. In 1984 he, his parents, and siblings moved to rural Freedom, Indiana. His grandmother and grandfather already lived in Freedom, and over the past 29 years it has become a place of family roots.

Growing up in a conservative, Christian home instilled in Andrew a love for family, God, and country. Hard work and integrity were foundational values taught to him by loving parents. Andrew and his brothers and sister had the opportunity to be homeschooled. He graduated from homeschool in 1992.

Not sure of the direction he wanted to take in life, he attended Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana for a semester. He then decided to return to Freedom to work as a copier technician in his father’s business, McNeil Office Products. Here Andrew experienced the day-to-day dealings of a small family business. He watched his father persevere through a devastating fire at their store, saw him meet payroll for his employees when times were tight, and witnessed him administer over the business with integrity. These years made a lasting impression of the value of perseverance and determination.

In 1994 he met and married his wife, Andrea. In 1997 he began working as a territory manager for Ronnoco, a Midwest coffee company. This is his current place of employment, with 2013 being his 16 year anniversary.

In 2005 he began a small farming business, McNeil Valley Farms, where he and his family have organic gardens and raise grass-fed lamb. They have been involved in their community farmers’ market since 2008, where his wife Andrea currently sits on the board.

Andrew has been an overseer in his church for over 20 years. He has been married for 19 years and has 7 children ranging in ages between 18 and 5 months. His oldest daughter was married in 2013. All of his children are homeschooled. For more information about Andrew and his hope for America’s future please click here.
