Biography of Chris Mayo from LPIN
[2014 Bio] Chris Mayo is husband to Renee and has two kids, Eric and Emma. Chris and Renee home school their children. They reside in Franklin Township, located in the Southeast corner of Marion County.
Chris is a Lead Avionics Technician at the Indianapolis International Airport, performing major repair, overhaul, and modification of large commercial aircraft. Chris recently transferred from Ivy Tech Community College to the University of Indianapolis, where he is earning his Bachelors in Organizational Leadership.
Chris is a recent United States Air Force veteran, serving as a flight mechanic on the C-17 Globemaster III cargo plane, and in that role he served on numerous combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as tours to Bosnia, Kuwait, Turkey, Pakistan, South Korea, and over 30 other countries, as well as the continent of Antarctica.
Before joining the USAF post-9/11, Chris was an equipment mechanic for the Indiana Department of Transportation, providing maintenance, repair, and modifications to state assets.
Chris attended numerous schools growing up, including Perry Township, IPS, and Center Grove schools, and spent his 4 years of high school in Southern Hancock County, where he graduated from New Palestine High School in 2000.
Chris’ wife Renee graduated from Father Thomas Scecina Memorial High School in 2000, and after graduating from Pierce College in 2007, pursued a career in Medical Billing and Coding, which she practiced until their youngest child Emma was born and they decided to home school their children.
Chris’ leisure activities include dirt biking, working out, jogging, reading, and spending time at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Conner Prairie, Brown County, and other attractions in or near Indianapolis with his family.
