Scott Wise 2014 Congressional Candidate Indiana District 3
Biography of Scott Wise from Scott Wise for Congress
[2014 Bio] Scott was born July 20, 1967 in Columbia City, IN where he now resides with his wife and 2 step-children. He grew up in Shipshewana, IN, and graduated from Westview Jr. Sr. High School. He attended Ball State University, where he studied Political Science, and Economics. He graduated from Indiana University (SB), where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. Scott holds a Lean Six Sigma Black belt certification from Purdue University.
Scott has a diverse professional background that includes but is not limited to construction, manufacturing, management, and continuous improvement. Scott is employed at Warner Electric where since 2007 he has supervised 2nd, 3rd, and 1st shifts, and now has the role of ABS facilitator (Lean/Continuous Improvement manager).
Scott has closely followed the national and international political scene since the 1970’s. His primary message to voters of Indiana’s 3rd district is that we need to quit whistling past the graveyard. This government, it’s politicians, and the media peddle an imaginary world where everything is ok. Meanwhile our government enslaves our children in debt, sticks it’s nose into our daily lives, and undermines our standing in the world.
Scott believes the solution to these problems lies in cutting the federal government down to size. Many federal agencies are currently arming themselves against the citizens of this nation. Others are overstepping their bounds, and the Department of Education is intentionally attempting to erase any trace of the exceptional-ism that has been America. These federal agencies should be disbanded. Part of their budget should pay down the debt, and part should go to the states and local governments to assume these responsibilities.
Scott is just as critical of the political parties claiming, “At least the Democratic party says what it believes. It believes solutions come from government, and socialism is at the heart of modern Democratic ideology.” “The Republican party, which I supported for most of my life, is even worse. The GOP tells voters every election they want a smaller government. They invoke the name of Ronald Reagan, and stake claim to conservatism, but they play the same game of pandering to voters, and the most they are prepared to do is cut the rate of growth.” What’s worse is that when the citizens try to speak up, the GOP leadership message to them is “I think we are going to crush them everywhere” (Mitch McConnell)
Sending a Democrat or Republican to Washington D.C. from the 3rd district does nothing to fix what ails us. They would both have to go along to get along. Leadership is what Indiana’s 3rd district needs to send to Washington, and Scott Wise will provide the kind of Leadership this nation needs.
